[Remote] Sr Manufacturing Engineer 3 – Sourced Hardware

GE Aerospace is a leading company in the aerospace sector, seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to manage and coordinate delivery projects within the Supplier Performance & Execution Sourcing Section. The role involves organizing multi-functional teams to improve product delivery, resolving technical issues with suppliers, and driving cost reduction efforts. Responsibilities • Manufacturing Engineering focal for assigned supplier base. Expected to own the technical performance of multiple suppliers so supplier travel will be frequent (25-50%) • Proactively identifies delivery barriers and resolves with fulfilment, commercial and quality team members. Is recognized as a critical team member by supplier or commodity • Acts as a Project Manager for large complex suppliers along with others • Has manufacturing expertise across multiple related part families and processes, along with deep domain expertise • Guides and influences suppliers’ performance based on manufacturing expertise • Actively drives cost reduction efforts within assigned supply base and is proactively engaged in addressing cost issues • Active in supplier selection based on value. Partners with commercial owners to ensure supplier selection provides desired value • Supports source changes as needed and develops lower performing suppliers Skills • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 8 years of experience in Manufacturing) • At least 8 years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering or Production Management • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
