[Remote] Property Accountant (Remote)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Turn2Partners is partnering with a leading property management company to identify a Senior Property Accountant. This role involves overseeing accounting operations for a diverse portfolio of residential and retail/commercial properties, ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting both internal leadership and external stakeholders. Responsibilities • Perform variance analysis on operating revenue/expenses • Reconcile balance sheet and GL accounts; prepare bank reconciliations • Manage debt service, owner distributions, taxes, and insurance payments • Ensure compliance with tax filings and license renewals • Post accruals; collaborate with managers for accuracy • Prepare reserve filings, equity schedules, and forecasts (budget, cash, re-forecasts) • Support audits and prepare schedules • Communicate with operational teams and ownership groups • Identify and implement process improvements Skills • Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance • Software experience in Yardi or MRI • Property Management of affordable housing experience • 5+ years of accounting experience (property management preferred) • Strong GAAP knowledge • Advanced Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, sumifs) • Excellent written and verbal communication • Independent, able to manage multiple priorities • Yardi required; affordable housing/property management strongly preferred Company Overview • Turn2Partners is a staffing agency that offers recruitment services for finance & accounting, HR & admin, and technology professionals.
