[Remote] Sr. Cloud Reliability Engineer

This role focuses on cloud platform reliability and automation within an enterprise system environment, involving the design of scalable solutions and the implementation of SRE best practices using AWS cloud services.ResponsibilitiesDesigns, develops, and maintains reliability solutions and SRE utilities to improve cloud platform stability and reduce operational toilBuilds and optimizes Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to manage AWS resources, ensuring cost-effective and scalable infrastructureDevelops CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks to support rapid, reliable software deliveryDefines and implements SRE standards, including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and best practices across teamsApplies software engineering principles such as version control, code reviews, and test-driven development to all development activitiesParticipates in incident management, troubleshooting production issues, and collaborating with teams to reduce recurrence through proactive detection and pattern analysisStays current with emerging AWS services, cloud-native technologies, and SRE methodologies, driving adoption of innovative solutionsCollaborates within Agile frameworks to deliver integrated cloud automation solutions and produces blameless postmortems with actionable insightsSkillsProven experience in developing solutions in AWS environments, with deep understanding of core AWS services (EC2, VPC, S3, Lambda, IAM, CloudFormation, EventBridge, Step Functions)Extensive experience with Python development, including building enterprise-grade APIs and utilitiesStrong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, including module development and state managementHands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practicesKnowledge of observability tools such as Grafana, CloudWatch, and AWS CanaryExperience defining, implementing, and managing SLOs/SLIs, error budgets, and conducting RCAs and postmortem analysisFamiliarity with Agile and Scaled Agile methodologies, ITSM processes, resilience testing, and chaos engineeringExperience with GoLang or additional programming languagesKnowledge of resource cost optimization in cloud environmentsExperience with enterprise reliability frameworks and industry best practicesCompany OverviewDelphi-US is a national IT staffing and recruiting agency headquartered in Newport, Rhode Island, delivering IT solutions and technologists fast, with verified availability, aligned compensation, and a proven interest in joining your team.
