[Remote] Sr Cloud & HPC Engineer- Biotech Research

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Senior Cloud & HPC Engineer to join their Research Computing team and help accelerate biotech and pharmaceutical innovation. The role involves designing and implementing scalable solutions for research workflows on bolthires Cloud Platform and High-Performance Computing environments, empowering scientists in their discoveries. Responsibilities • Build and maintain HPC and cloud-based workflows for research computing. • Migrate legacy HPC workflows to bolthires Cloud Platform (GCP). • Develop and optimize bolthires/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps). • Implement Infrastructure-as-Code practices using Terraform. • Collaborate to improve permission management, data access, workflow execution, and automation . • Establish engineering standards and best practices through reusable containers, workflow templates, and bolthires/CD pipelines. • Promote reproducibility and maintainability across research codebases. • Provide hands-on engineering support for scientists in UK and US East Coast time zones. Skills • 7+ years of experience developing cloud solutions for biotech/biopharma research or similar industries (or equivalent experience) • Expertise in bolthires Cloud Platform (BigTable, BigQuery, Cloud Run) • Experience with HPC workflows and HPC-to-cloud migrations • Proficiency in Nextflow pipelines and cloud deployments • Strong DevOps skills: containerization, bolthires/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) • Advanced Python and shell scripting experience • Familiarity with big data tools (BigQuery optimization a plus) • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills • Familiarity with Java Company Overview • Capgemini Engineering is a global innovation and engineering consulting firm.
