[Remote] Sr. Business Analyst

The Senior Business Analyst will lead the definition and delivery of business requirements for a global corporate travel management ecosystem, focusing on automation, cost efficiency, and streamlined processes.ResponsibilitiesLead requirements gathering, analysis, and validation for complex, cross-functional initiatives involving global corporate travel systems, supplier integrations, OBTs, agent booking tools, automation, accounting systems and AI-enabled solutionsPartner with Business Product Owners and stakeholders to recommend solutions, identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities for automation and cost-effective process improvementsDocument and formalize business requirements, functional specifications, and supporting analysis to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and technical feasibilityProduce clear, high-quality business and system requirements documentation, including user instruction and operational support materialsAct as the primary liaison between Business Product Owners and software development teams, ensuring shared understanding and timely decision-makingDefine and document current-state and future-state business processes, system workflows, and end-to-end integration touchpointsDesign functional system solutions that enable scalable, streamlined, and automated travel management operationsPlan and coordinate requirements-related activities across development, testing, and business teams throughout the software development lifecycleDefine system test plans, acceptance criteria, and execute functional and integration testing to validate business outcomesManage work independently, engaging additional team members, subject matter experts, or leadership as needed to resolve issuesDemonstrate accountability and ownership for all assigned deliverables, ensuring work is completed on time and to quality standardsIdentify issues or risks of significance, escalate appropriately, and ensure system and process documentation is maintained and up to datePerform analysis and tasks as assignedSkills10+ years of experience translating complex business needs into user stories and structured requirement frameworksDeep expertise in corporate travel operations, including distribution, booking, fulfillment, servicing, and settlement across airlines, hotels, OBTs, and agency environments5+ years hands-on experience with Amadeus (Sabre experience preferred), including requirements definition, system design, testing, and release supportProven experience working closely with engineering teams across the full SDLC, from requirements and design through testing and deploymentStrong background in system integration and vendor management, including GDSs, NDC providers, BPOs, and SaaS platformsAdvanced analytical and technical skills, including expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, and working knowledge of relational databasesHighly effective communicator with the ability to influence senior leaders, multitask under pressure, think proactively beyond defined steps, and rapidly learn in unfamiliar or complex domainsStrong knowledge of global travel agency operations, OBTs, mid-office automation, and travel agent facing technologiesExperience using Jira and SmartsheetsBenefitsChoice of two medical plans and two dental plansVision insuranceFlexible spending accounts (FSAs)Company-paid life insurance and AD&DOptional additional life insurance and AD&DDisability insurancePaid parental leavePaid time off401k Plan with company matchDiscounted employee travel optionsAccess to LinkedIn Learning webinars and coursesDiscounted pet insurance and auto, home, & renters insuranceThis role may be eligible for an incentive, commission, bonus, or a discretionary bonus program based on the companyβs financial goal achievement and individual performanceCompany OverviewALTOUR is an Travel Management Company.
