The Software Engineer, Product role involves designing and building user-facing features and abstractions, ensuring seamless application deployments, and taking ownership of full-stack projects.ResponsibilitiesBuild new products. These are new services to make Render more powerful and valuable to our users. We are continuously building new and easier ways for our users to build their applicationsCollaborate closely with design, product, other engineers, and cross-functional stakeholdersHelp evolve and mature the Render codebase and technology as the product scales and increases in complexity over timeParticipate in team planning, roadmapping, and goal-settingHelp shape team culture and practices as the company scalesParticipate in on-call responsibilities with the rest of your teamSkills6+ years of professional experience shipping softwareExperience collaborating with product and design stakeholdersExperience wearing multiple hats and working across the stack, both collaboratively and independentlyStrong understanding of web frameworks, APIs, and databases, experience working with multiple programming languages, and working in a distributed systemStrong sense of ownership and ability to make pragmatic decisions about your workFamiliarity with modern tooling for software build and deploy processesFamiliarity building for product-driven growth and modern enterprise audiencesExperience with any of the technologies the Render product runs on: Go, Typescript, React, Kubernetes, Postgres, Terraform, TemporalBenefits4 weeks of paid vacation.14 weeks of fully paid parental leave for all parents to bond with a newly born, adopted, or fostered child.
