The role involves providing expertise in managed file transfer and EDI X12 translations, configuring and maintaining environments for supported applications, and ensuring system stability through high-level design and implementation.ResponsibilitiesDetermine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutionsDocument and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear codePrepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programmingImprove operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and proceduresProvide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issuesSystems engineer will be responsible for managing and configuring file transfer and EDI environmentsResponsible for out-of-hours support for any failed processingResponsible for high level design and implementation around file transfer jobs and service stabilityResponsible for high level design and implementation of EDI X12 transactions and service stabilityAct as a technical SME during escalated P1/P2 issuesDevelop any new application configuration changes and processes in both MFT (Managed File Transfer) and X12 transactionsCoordinate with Systems PM when developing any new configuration change requestsSkillsBachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 3+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experienceBachelor's degree.
