Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is seeking a React Native Mobile Software Engineer for their Mobile Solutions team. In this role, you will design, build, and support customer-facing enterprise mobile applications for iOS and Android, collaborating with various teams to deliver high-performing solutions.ResponsibilitiesFormulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to design, develop, modify, or integrate complex information systemsDevises or modifies application systems and procedures to optimize functional requirements including capacity, operating time, response time, and form of desired resultsDesigns, codes, tests, debugs, and documents programs, subroutines, and scriptsMay serve one or more project team roles, such as project lead, business systems analyst, or technical lead, for small to medium efforts or manage phases of medium to large effortsMaintains technical skill set for software languages, databases, platforms, operating systems, utilities and networks needed to support work assignmentsResponds to system failures and performance events by taking appropriate measures to reduce system downtime and eliminate recurrence of problemsRegularly provides guidance and training to less-experienced analysts/programmersSkillsBachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience required1 year - Experience with information technology concepts, application development methodology, terminology, and standards required3 years - Systems and programming experience required1 year - Expert working knowledge of at least one programming language in use at BCBSTProven skill with information technology in use at BCBST is requiredProven analysis, design, and coding skills, and demonstrated success in leading large and complex projectsDemonstrated ability to interpret and translate technical and/or complex concepts into information meaningful to project team members and/or business personnelBe organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks with exceptional work ethicLeadership skillsMust be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical co-workersStrong cross-platform mobile development expertiseDeep understanding of React architecture and state managementExperience publishing apps to both the Apple App Store and Google Play StoreWorking with native integrations such as push notifications, biometrics, and device APIsUsing tools like Postman or Fiddler for API debuggingExperience with CI/CD pipelinesNative mobile development (Swift, Kotlin, or Java)A passion for staying current with emerging mobile technologiesCompany OverviewAs Tennessee's largest health plan, we've been helping Tennesseans find their own unique paths to good health for more than 70 years.
