Thrive Pet Healthcare is seeking a Senior Veterinary Recruiting Partner to specialize in field leadership recruitment for Veterinary Medical Directors and support other high-volume Veterinarian openings. The role involves driving full-cycle recruitment, building relationships with veterinary professionals, and leveraging market insights to attract top talent.ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end recruitment for Medical Director searches, collaborating closely with Operations and Medical leadership teamsServe as SME (subject matter expert) and resource for peers & participate in recruitment knowledge sharing best practices – leading by exampleBuild and maintain relationships with veterinary professionals to create a proactive talent pipelinePartner with hiring managers to define role requirements, selection criteria, and interview strategiesMaintain current information on the hospitals supported to have the ability to focus on quality hires, with the goal of hiring the right person in the right opportunityDeliver an exceptional candidate experience through clear communication and personalized engagementUse data and market insights to inform hiring strategies and identify opportunities for process improvementManage the recruiting process to succeed with hiring goals through effective resource management, including efficient use of the ATS and CRM. Strong negotiation skillsManage, support, and promote full cycle recruiting roles on a regular basis, opening and managing requisitions, posting, and the candidate workflowTrack and report on recruiting activities / metrics, and meet or exceed regular hiring targetsNurture network and develop referrals from potential, internal, and recent hiresRepresent the organization at virtual and in-person veterinary events as neededBe a Thrive ambassador and lead generator at various eventsLead or collaborate on special projects to support team and organizational goalsRecruiter back-up for team’s PTOSkills5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably within healthcare, veterinary, or medical sectorsProven success recruiting for senior-level clinical or leadership rolesExperience partnering with senior field leaders (e.g., Regional Operations Directors, VPOs)Strong sourcing skills with the ability to engage passive candidatesExcellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management abilitiesAbility to conduct structured intake calls, manage multiple requisitions, and adjust quickly to shifting prioritiesMust be able to support hiring managers and candidates across multiple time zonesWillingness and ability to travel up to 30% to support hospital visits, leadership meetings, recruiting events, and team collaborationCompany OverviewThrive Pet Healthcare offers routine wellness, emergency and speciality care, surgery, boarding, and grooming services for pets.
