Key Job Details: Start Date: Immediate openings available Company: GI of Norman East Location: Norman, Oklahoma Position: LPN - Gastroenterology Nurse Compensation: Competitive salary ranging from $17.39 to $28.40 per hour, depending on experience Responsibilities: As an LPN at GI of Norman East, you will be responsible for: Performing duties of a licensed practical nurse as prescribed by the Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act Contributing to the development of a plan of care and following through with such plan for selected patients Administering medication with a high degree of safety and accuracy Maintaining the exam rooms and work environment Documenting nursing care and activities Assisting with patient care and monitoring patients during procedures Assisting with the training of other staff members Assisting the departmental assistant with clinical matters Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a vocational program for Licensed Practical Nurse Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or physician-office setting, emergency room, and/or a hospital setting that provides patient care Experience in office clerical activities is desirable Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. Licensure/Certification: Current LPN license from the State of Oklahoma or active Multistate LPN license is required Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for the duration of employment Skills and Competencies: To succeed as an LPN at GI of Norman East, you will need: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong clinical skills and attention to detail Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Compassion and empathy for patients and families Strong organizational and time management skills Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits: At GI of Norman East, we are committed to the growth and development of our team members.
