They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop fraud detection and prevention products, primarily working on the Device Fingerprinting product to protect customers from fraud and abuse.ResponsibilitiesBuild and own fraud detection capabilities for Stytch’s fraud platform on Twilio—go deep on browser and device internals for complex signal collection to improve identification of bad actors and keep our customers safePartner with Product and Engineering leadership to set direction, translate customer needs into technical plans, and deliver high-impact roadmap featuresCollaborate across Twilio and Stytch teams to align on architecture, integrate platform capabilities, and unblock cross-team initiativesOperate with deep technical ownership: author design docs, drive key technical decisions, review code, and stay close to the systems you shipBuild in ambiguity—break down complex problems, make pragmatic tradeoffs, and adopt new technologies or strategies when they improve outcomesImprove production quality and resilience through strong observability, incident response and remediationMentor and support other engineers through pairing, feedback, and knowledge-sharing, helping raise the team’s technical bar and cultureSkills6+ years experience in designing, building and operating production systemsFamiliarity with C/C++, production experience not necessaryFamiliarity with a production-grade code base in a modern programming language, applying best practice coding standards and writing high quality codeBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related industry experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSchedule: ability to work non-standard, on-call rotation weekend and holiday hoursFamiliarity with Javascript, Go, WebAssemblyExperience with reverse engineering and/or reverse engineering detection and prevention such as experience with browser automation, botting, and/or fraud detection and defense techniquesOffensive and/or defensive security software engineering experienceBuilder at heart.
