[Remote] Senior Software Engineer

They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer who will be responsible for leading software design and development efforts, managing project documentation, and ensuring effective communication within the software team.ResponsibilitiesApply working knowledge of the software lifecycleDesign, write and integrate software CSU’s to the defined software architectureFully understand and provide feedback on software design choicesLead small subgroups or efforts within a program’s software teamActively interface with the software lead and teamCommunicate independently and effectively with teammates for issue resolutionCreation and maintenance of project CDRL’s. This includes requirements management, software documentation, unit testing, software safety testing, and software qualification testingSupport software testing on the factory floor, offsite, and offshoreUnderstand user requirements, concept of operations documents, and system requirements specificationsPrepare reports and present results to stakeholdersSchedules can be demanding throughout the year and occasional work outside normal working hours should be anticipatedSkillsBS Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline. Commensurate experience will be considered2+ years of C# software lifecycle engineering experienceProficiency with the Microsoft 365 environmentAbility to obtain and maintain a United States Government Department of Defense Security ClearanceMust be a US citizenExperience working on Department of Defense software effortsExperience with containerization or orchestration (Kubernetes)Experience with Avalonia and or Linux OSExperience with CI/CD pipelinesExperience with Jira and GitExperience in the field of ocean engineeringSolid written and oral communications skills, including ability to effectively document, convey, and present engineering concepts and products to team members and customersCompany OverviewOceaneering is a global oilfield provider of engineered services and products primarily to the offshore oil and gas industry.
