[Remote] Senior Software Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. h3 Technologies, LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the Workflow Orchestration Initiative. The role involves building intelligent backend services and enhancing enterprise workflow solutions using Java, Python, and AI/ML technologies.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop Java‐based backend services and APIs that integrate with workflow orchestration platforms such as AppianImplement AI/ML‐enabled capabilities (e.g., classification, extraction, recommendations, prediction, decision support) using Python and enterprise AI frameworksCollaborate closely with Java software engineers to align AI services with core backend architecture and shared platformsDevelop and maintain microservices using Java, Spring‐based frameworks, and established enterprise patternsExpose AI capabilities through secure, scalable APIs for consumption by workflow and application servicesPartner with data engineering teams to access, transform, and validate data used in AI use casesSupport model integration, inference pipelines, monitoring, and performance tuning in production environmentsContribute to CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, automated testing, and observability across Java and AI servicesParticipate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical collaboration to promote quality and consistencySkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of enterprise software development experience, including backend systemsStrong proficiency in Java with hands on experience using Spring Boot / Spring CloudHands on experience with Python for building or integrating AI/ML solutionsExperience integrating AI/ML models or AI services into enterprise applicationsStrong understanding of RESTful API design, integration patterns, and service securityHands on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred), data modeling, and query optimizationFamiliarity integrating backend services with workflow orchestration platforms such as AppianUnderstanding of agile development practices (SAFe preferred)Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering teamsExperience working on workflow intelligence, decision automation, NLP, or document processing use casesExposure to MLOps practices, model lifecycle management, or cloud based AI platformsPrior experience with BPM or workflow orchestration platforms (e.g., Appian, Camunda, JBPM)Background in Healthcare IT, payment integrity, or regulated environmentsExperience contributing to shared enterprise platforms, AI services, or integration frameworksCompany OverviewH3 Technologies, LLC is an IT staffing (contract, contract-to-hire, and permanent placement) and software development company.
