[Remote] Senior Revenue Accountant

They are seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to support accurate financial reporting and scalable revenue operations within their finance team, collaborating with cross-functional departments to ensure compliance and accurate revenue recognition.ResponsibilitiesSupport the revenue accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely recording of revenue transactions in compliance with US GAAP and ASC 606Perform monthly close tasks for all revenue-related activitiesPrepare monthly journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and other analytics to ensure complete and accurate recognition of revenuesProvide support to the Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting for finance requests, audit inquiries, and other revenue-related mattersCollaborate cross-functionally with finance, sales, operations, and other business partners to provide guidance on complex revenue transactions, ensuring accurate and timely recognitionLeverage data analytics tools to identify revenue trends and improve forecasting accuracyAssist in the development and implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency and qualityProvide support and maintenance regarding internal controls over the order-to-cash cycle, including reporting and related accounting estimatesAssist with the implementation and maintenance of revenue-related systems and tools, ensuring alignment with business needsCollaborate with finance and business teams to analyze revenue-related transactions and variances to budgetDetermine methods and procedures to resolve complex accounting discrepanciesAnalyze financial data and present actionable variances to accounting leadershipMentor staff accountants and assist in establishing departmental best practicesCoordinate directly with external auditors to ensure complianceSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred4-7 years of progressive experience in revenue accounting or related rolesAdvanced knowledge of US GAAP and revenue recognition principles, with specific expertise in ASC 606Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detailEffective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence key stakeholdersAbility to think strategically and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracyAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing prioritiesStrong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative teamAbility to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support decision-makingProficiency with ERP systems, with experience in NetSuite or similar platformsAdvanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex spreadsheets and financial modelsExperience with data visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or AlteryxExperience working with Salesforce or other CRM systemsStrong project management and process improvement skillsPrior public accounting experienceDemonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional developmentBenefits401(k) planCompetitive health insurance and mental health optionsBasic life insurancePaid time offParental leaveAccess to best-in-class development programsAnnual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performanceCompany OverviewAmplify helps teachers bring delight and rigor to students every day.
