[Remote] Senior Project Manager, Sustainability

As a Senior Project Manager, Sustainability, you will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic roadmap to reduce carbon emissions for a key client, leading cross-functional initiatives to achieve sustainability goals.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage a client-specific carbon emissions reduction roadmap with clear milestones, timelines, and accountable ownersCoordinate cross-functional teams across operations, commercial, procurement, analytics, and sustainability to execute emissions reduction initiativesPartner directly with the client to understand decarbonization priorities, align on targets, and translate strategic objectives into project workplansTrack progress against carbon reduction goals, key performance indicators, and implementation milestones, providing regular updates to internal leadership and client stakeholdersManage project governance, risks, dependencies, and issue resolution to ensure successful delivery of the roadmapSupport identification and evaluation of emissions reduction levers such as modal shift, load optimization, fuel and energy alternatives, supplier engagement, and process improvementsWork with data and analytics teams to validate emissions baselines, quantify reduction opportunities, and measure realized impactLead recurring project meetings, maintain documentation, and capture lessons learned to strengthen future sustainability program deliverySkillsBachelor's or Master's degree in sustainability, environmental studies, supply chain, business administration, engineering, logistics, or a related field5+ years of project management experience, preferably in sustainability, transportation, logistics, supply chain, or client-facing transformation programsExperience managing complex cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders and executive visibilityDemonstrated experience supporting or delivering carbon emissions reduction, decarbonization, ESG, or sustainability-related initiativesStrong project management skills, including roadmap development, milestone tracking, risk management, and cross-functional coordinationKnowledge of sustainability and carbon emissions reduction concepts, including greenhouse gas accounting, decarbonization levers, and performance measurementStrong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, internal teams, and senior leadershipStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable recommendationsAbility to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, evolving environment while maintaining focus on delivery and client outcomesFamiliarity with project management tools and Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPointFluent in English (oral and written)Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPointFamiliarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project or similar toolsProject Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalentExperience in sustainability consulting, decarbonization strategy, or client-facing ESG program deliveryFamiliarity with transportation and logistics decarbonization trends, emissions reporting, and customer sustainability requirementsBenefitsDSV provides a comprehensive package of health benefits including: medical, prescription, dental, vision, and life insurance, along with flexible and health spending accounts, short and long-term disability coverage, and wellness resources to support your overall well-being.In addition, our 401(k) plan offers company-matching contributions up to 5% to help you build a secure financial future.To support a healthy work-life balance, DSV also offers generous paid time off, paid holidays, and additional floating holidays.Company OverviewAt DSV, we keep supply chains flowing in a world of change.
