[Remote] Senior Project Manager

FlatironDragados is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead technically complex projects that build stronger, more resilient communities. In this role, you will manage a single project contract, overseeing the budget, coordinating personnel, and ensuring timely delivery and exceptional quality while collaborating with industry experts and teams.ResponsibilitiesManages all aspects of the project, from construction to budget and cash management, ensuring everything aligns with the project contract and owner requirementsDevelops and manages the project schedule, pay estimates, procedures, staffing needs, and equipment resources to ensure timely and accurate project completionReviews initial project contracts and supporting documents for completeness, and collaborates with the owner to resolve any specification, contract conflicts, and scheduling issuesLeads engineering and scheduling teams to identify and negotiate proposed change orders, with support from the Area Manager as neededPrepares and presents monthly cost and revenue forecasts and reports to Flatiron leadershipMaintains strong working relationships with Flatiron supporting departments and the project owner to support the project work plan and payment scheduleServes as the main point of contact for all third-party stakeholders, including landowners, local business owners, and government agencies involved in the projectReviews and approves all internal and external media news releases related to the projectEnsures project safety by conducting weekly safety checks, participating in safety meetings, and supporting both project and owner safety programsApproves staffing and equipment needs to ensure efficient and effective project productionParticipates in the dispute resolution process with support from internal legal counselProvides input on equipment procurement methods and contracts to ensure efficient project productionLeads project closeout procedures, finalizes contract paperwork, obtains retainages, and works with management to resolve any project claimsConducts project debriefs to review all aspects of project work and completionSkills15+ years' experience in construction project management required10 + years' experience in managing personnel requiredProven experience in bid-build, CMCG, design build and other alternative delivery projects requiredValid Driver's LicenseStrong interpersonal skills proven to engage and retain positive working relationshipsStrong proven skill to identify, track and manage project riskProven ability to efficiently and effectively manage multiple departments and direct reports to retain focus on one project completion goal and timelineProven ability to identify growth opportunities for project personnel and developed to coach and mentor project personnelProven ability to delegate task driven responsibilities to project personnelProven knowledge and ability to analyze and interpret financial documentation to identify and mitigate project riskAdvanced and proven interpersonal skills with internal and external contactsEffective delegation skills to drive efficient, accurate and profitable project completionStrong ability to appropriately recover funds from claim and dispute resolutionIntermediate to advanced skills in managing multiple departments and direct reports to retain focus on one project completion goal and timelineStrong, inherent ability and drive to negotiate terms of agreement for project work, budget and fund recovery in the project's best interestStrong internal branding and sales knowledge to constantly promote yourself and the Company brandBachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field a plusBenefitsComprehensive compensation package and paid time off programIndustry leading 401(k)/RRSPMedical/Extended Health Care, Dental, Vision and/or Provincial MedicalWellness benefits & Employee Assistance ProgramTuition Reimbursement ProgramCompany OverviewFlatironDragados is a construction company that specializes in civil engineering, infrastructure development, and project execution.
