[Remote] Senior Project Manager

Kintec Search is seeking a Senior Project Manager responsible for providing project management systems and technical direction to EPC project teams. The role involves coaching other project management professionals, managing client relationships, overseeing contract negotiations, and ensuring project profitability and compliance with safety and quality standards.ResponsibilitiesCoaching and mentoring of other project management professionalsManagement of the client and project stakeholders, ensuring effective business relationships are in place and trusted by allAll aspects of contract negotiation, change order identification, submittal and approval, administration, establishing the system to carry out the contract including management of subcontractorsEffective change control and risk management processesEH&S and Quality & Control programs appropriate for the projectThorough estimates and proposalsEffective project meetings (project kickoff, client alignment, status meeting, progress review, etc.)Provide meaningful performance related feedback/input to appropriate line management and project team membersProject reporting and status for the project team, management, and clientProvide accurate project financial reports to project accounting with adequate backup for management, internal and external accounting and/or SOX requirementsEffective financial controls to ensure project profitability and expected cash flow positionsAccurate invoices to ensure timely issuance and paymentSkillsMinimum of 8 years' experience in the utility industry with proven Project Management experienceAt least 3+ years of past work history in EPC projectsPMP CertificationDetailed knowledge of project management fundamentalsSkilled in engineering theories and principlesWorking knowledge of personal computers and software applications with MS office application proficiency including MS Project and/or Primavera scheduling softwareDemonstrated skills in written communications; ability to compose basic as well as complex technical documents, formal letters, invoicesDemonstrated skills in oral communications; ability to make presentations to large, diverse groupsHigh energy level with the ability to work in a fast paced, ambiguous environment with a bias for actionProven success in developing and maintaining internal and external relationships while effectively navigating organizational barriersHigh commitment to achieving goals and plansExcellent organizational, planning and time management skillsDemonstrated negotiating and decision-making skillsWorking knowledge of project accounting practices and financial systemsWorking knowledge of EPC, Fixed Price, Time & Materials, Cost Plus and Unit contract pricing mechanismsWorking knowledge of the techniques needed to lead and influence others in a matrix organizationAbility to deal with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgroundsExperience working directly with material manufacturers in the development of Transmission Lines or HV Electric Substation projectsBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in fields related to electrical utility industry or construction managementAdvanced or Master PMPOSHA 30 CertificationMid-management or Supervisory experienceCompany OverviewKintec Search supports the organizations building, powering, and modernizing America’s infrastructure.
