[Remote] Senior Product Designer

They are looking for a Senior Product Designer to lead efforts in developing consumer-grade designs for their investment platform, collaborating closely with the Product team to enhance user experience and manage design execution.ResponsibilitiesHelp create a high performance design culture both by setting a high quality bar and mentoring other cross-functional designersWork collaboratively with engineering, product, and business teams to define problems; goals, research requirements, map user flows, prototype, and launch new productsManage the execution of design projects and the development of the design teamProactively offer recommendations and solutions by championing high quality design standards grounded in research and analysisCreate deliverables at various levels of fidelity from sketches to wireframes to final designsCommunicate progress and key updates with other team members on a regular basisCultivate a deep understanding of Groundfloor’s existing products and our usersSupporting early product definition by working closely with stakeholders and customers to participate in discovery sessions that uncover customer pain points and opportunitiesWork with product managers to understand customer needs and define opportunities through usability testingSkillsDemonstrate an in-depth understanding and knowledge of user-centered design activities from research, concepting, flows, sitemaps, wireframes, to high fidelity user interfacesA strong visual design sensibilityAn in-depth understanding of UX conceptsA strong portfolio and a high quality of workDesign systems experienceExperience leveraging AI-assisted design and prototyping tools to accelerate exploration and iterationClear and effective communication skills in articulating design concepts and rationalesEffective time-management skills and ability to deliver on multiple competing prioritiesStrategic Thinking: Ability to understand and contribute to an established product vision and strategy, balancing short-term goals with long-term objectivesDesign and Aesthetic Insight: A keen eye for design and a deep appreciation for aesthetics, coupled with a practical understanding of how exceptional UX/UI drives business success in the fintech domainIterative Development: Ability to drive iterative improvements, based on customer feedback and market insights to deliver incremental value in a fast-paced Agile environmentUser-Centric Mindset: Passion for understanding user needs and behaviors, with a commitment to delivering products that delight and exceed expectationsMentorship: Demonstrated ability to raise the quality of design work through feedback, collaboration, and leadership by exampleStorytelling: The ability to present design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps; strength in developing mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how products will function and look likeFlying at different altitudes: The ability to deliver both wireframes and high-quality, polished designs using Figma7+ years of product design experience, ideally designing consumer-facing digital productsFintech, investing, wealthtech, or real estate product experience is a plusAdvanced Figma skillsExperience with financial tools, investment platforms, and/or real estate products; professional experience preferredExperience collaborating with front end developers to create efficient design systemsSuccess in raising the design bar on consumer-facing products, emphasizing a customer first approachHigh degree of financial literacy, comfortable with basic concepts related to building and managing a personal portfolio of investments in public and private market securitiesCompany OverviewGroundfloor is an award-winning fintech company transforming how individuals invest in real estate.
