[Remote] Senior Mechanical Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Nortek Data Center Cooling is part of Madison Industries, focusing on energy-efficient HVAC solutions for data centers. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will support Custom Engineered Product Development for Liquid Cooling and Air Cooled product families, applying engineering principles to manage product development projects and optimize solutions for hyperscale customers.ResponsibilitiesWorks with Sales, Marketing, and R&D to develop product requirements based on customer needsAnalyzes systems using a variety of engineering tools including, but not limited to, FEA, analytical formulas, benchmark designs, etcRun through sizing and optimization exercises for pumps, valves, and flow control devicesFamiliar with piping layouts, design, and material selection, including, but not limited to, PVC, Stainless Steel, Copper, HDPE, etcUses DFMEA, PFMEA, and DFMA tools to improve the quality and reliability of designsDevelop Bills of Materials (BOMs)Assures that full and accurate documentation is produced for the designs that are moving into commercializationWorks with operations to design solutions that are integrated into the current manufacturing capabilitiesDevelops advanced designs in conjunction with operations to produce high quality designs that are value basedWorks with sales and service to improve current designs and incorporates future needs into the existing platformWorks as an example and mentor to more junior mechanical engineersOther duties as assigned by the managerSkillsBSME from an accredited university, or applicable engineering work experience3-5 years of engineering work experience, HVAC preferredCFD, computational fluid dynamics experience preferredSelf-starter and must be able to work cross-functionallyMust have excellent verbal and written communication skillsP.E certification a plusMSME is a plusSolidWorks, DraftSight, AutoCAD, Revit skillsBenefitsHealth, Dental, Vision, Life, STD, LTD, FSA, HAS and 401(k) Plan with company contributionsMaking NexGen Products - Cooling the World’s Ever Expanding Data CentersAirconditioned work environmentBenefits start day one401K matchFirst year, 4 weeks’ vacation (accrued)Company OverviewNortek Data Center Cooling is a manufacturer of data center cooling technology.
