They are seeking a Senior Manager for Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to serve as a key business partner to the Commercial organization, providing financial insights and managing revenue and expense forecasting.ResponsibilitiesServe as a strategic finance partner to the Commercial organization, including the VP, Head of Market Access, and Executive Director of Marketing, on Net Sales and Operating Expense managementDevelop deep understanding of brand strategies across supported areas, including Market Access and MYFEMBREE, and connect those strategies to financial plans and performance narrativesOwn revenue forecast models for MYFEMBREE, APTIOM, and LATUDA, and lead the forecasting process in partnership with Marketing, Insights & Analytics, Trade, Supply Chain, Pricing & Contracting, and FinancePrepare Market Access operating expense summaries and deliver commentary on key variances to Market Access leadership, including the VP of Market AccessLead timely completion of forecasts, annual budgets, and long-range plansDevelop presentation materials for SMPA Revenue Forecast Committee reviews and month-end close reviews for senior leadership, including the CEO, CFO, and CCOCoordinate month-, quarter-, and year-end accrual submissions in partnership with business stakeholders and AccountingSkillsUndergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or related fieldMinimum 6 years of relevant experience in Corporate Finance or Financial ModelingProven capability to build trust and collaborate cross-functionallyExcellent listening skills and the ability to bring multiple ideas and opinions togetherStrong intellectual curiosity, desire to learn about the business areas supported and how the financials tie into the strategyStrong Financial Modeling skills, attention to detail, and the ability to turn complex business needs into clear financial assumptionsAbility to apply scenario planning and proactively manage risks and opportunitiesWorking knowledge of 3rd party demand and inventory dataSolid understanding of revenue recognition process and COGS/S&OP processProficiency in financial systems: Hyperion, SAP, and OracleAbility to present variance analysis to multiple levels of the Commercial and Finance organizations in a clear and concise mannerMBAPrior experience in Pharmaceutical or Biotech industryBenefitsMerit-based salary increasesShort incentive plan participationEligibility for our 401(k) planMedical, dental, vision, life and disability insurancesLeaves provided in line with your work stateFlexible paid time off11 paid holidays plus additional time off for a shut-down period during the last week of December80 hours of paid sick time upon hire and each year thereafterCompany OverviewSumitomo Pharma America (SMPA) is a science-based, technology-driven biopharmaceutical company focused on delivering therapeutic and scientific breakthroughs in areas of critical patient need in oncology, urology, women’s health, rare disease, cell and gene therapies and CNS.
