They are seeking a Senior IT Systems Administrator to manage day-to-day IT operations, ensuring reliable and compliant technology environments while supporting engineering teams and enhancing workflows with AI tools.ResponsibilitiesAdminister and maintain TechTorch environments across Google Workspace (user lifecycle, groups, Drive policies, Vault, Meet, security settings) and Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Entra ID/Azure AD)Administer and support business applications (for example, QBO, Asana, etc.) and other SaaS tools as directedServe as the primary remote help desk resource for end users across the organizationProvide endpoint support across ChromeOS, Windows, and macOS devicesManage device enrollment, configuration, and policy enforcement via MDM platforms (Google Admin, Intune, or equivalent)Troubleshoot hardware, OS, and application issues remotely with minimal escalationExecute technology controls and configurations in alignment with CMMC/NIST 800-171, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 requirementsImplement and enforce access controls, audit logging, data handling policies, and security configurations as defined by senior staffSupport audit readiness activities including evidence collection, policy documentation, and control testingAdd or modify system capabilities to address evolving compliance requirements, implementing the solution rather than defining itActively apply AI tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot, Gemini) to streamline IT workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and accelerate troubleshootingStay current on how AI is reshaping IT operations and bring practical applications to the teamSupport IT needs within an engineering-oriented organization that operates across a connected digital thread of tools and dataQuickly learn and adapt to specialized tools and workflows used by engineering teams without requiring deep domain expertiseMaintain awareness of how IT infrastructure intersects with engineering processes, data flows, and toolchainsSkills5-8 years of hands-on IT administration experience in a product engineering and manufacturing environmentExpert-level Google Workspace administration (Users, Groups, Drive, Security, Vault, Admin Console)Proficient Microsoft 365 tenant administration (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Entra ID)Demonstrated endpoint support experience across ChromeOS, Windows, and macOSFamiliarity with CMMC/NIST 800-171, ISO 27001, and/or SOC 2 control implementationExperience administering SaaS tools (for example, QBO, Asana, etc.)Strong remote help desk and user support skills; able to resolve issues efficiently without in-person accessComfortable working in a task-execution role where architecture and policy decisions are made upstreamFamiliarity with the use of AI tools to improve personal productivity and IT operationsU.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (green card holder)Experience supporting engineering teams or organizations with an engineering-oriented digital threadFamiliarity with MDM policy enforcement and endpoint compliance toolingExposure to GRC tools or compliance management platformsExperience in a startup, growth-stage, or lean IT environment where adaptability is essentialGoogle Workspace Administrator or Microsoft 365 certifications (not required but a plus)Company OverviewTechTorch is a AI powered Tech Consulting company It was founded in 2021, and is headquartered in San Mateo, California, USA, with a workforce of 51-200 employees.
