The Senior Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties, including benefits administration, employee relations, and compliance with employment laws.ResponsibilitiesAdminister various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepare and maintain the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manualParticipate in developing department goals, objectives, and systemsAdminister the compensation program; monitor the performance evaluation program and revise as necessaryPerform benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, and communicating benefits information to employeesConducts New Hire Orientations that foster a positive first impression of the company. Keeps presentation materials, notes and associated handouts up to date and relevant and maintained within the most recent marketing templatesAssists with managing Onboarding/Offboarding administration, including the timely approval of benefit approval notifications within the payroll systemMaintains the timely flow of EAF changes within the payroll system by responding to notifications for approvals. Ensures that job descriptions are recorded for title changes and salary is reviewed for its appropriateness in accordance with rangesAnswers questions that come into the HR inbox promptly and attends to the associated follow-upEnsures data within the HRIS system is accurate and up to date, communicates methods to adjust errors to management team and follows through with updates/correctionsProvides HR Policy guidance and interpretation with guidance, in accordance with company handbook and applicable laws. Handles employee relations issues, counseling, and investigations with either employees and/or managers through effective communication, adherence to company policies and procedures and gathering pertinent documentation. Ability to identify problems, review related information, develop and evaluate options and assist with implementing solutionsHandle employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewingMaintain Human Resource Information System records and compile reports from the databaseEnsures collaboration exists amongst HR team when interpreting and adhering to policies and practices and trains and mentors the Human Resources assistantMaintains the integrity of the storage of employee files and Human Resources related instructions, presentations, and other information on the shared driveResponds to unemployment claims and gathers pertinent documentation as necessary to respond to and mitigate claimsMaintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance and update SOPs in company’s systemGives advice on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefitsAssists with open enrollment and with annual preparation efforts for open enrollmentManages COBRA correspondence tracking and associated follow upKeeps informed of HR issues, and trends and legislation and advises HR department staff on needed changesMaintains general knowledge of employment practices, procedures and concepts for recruitment, selection, benefits administration, employee development, performance management, compensation and trainingPossess a solid understanding of employment laws (e.g., ACA, HIPAA, FMLA, FLSA, etc.) to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local jurisdictions. General knowledge of federal and state labor and employment practices. General knowledge of wage-and-hour laws and regulationsMaintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment lawMaintain regular and reliable attendance, including being present, on time, and prepared for work as scheduledPerforms other duties as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree in human resources management, organizational development, or a related field4-5 years' experience in an HR roleProficient in Microsoft Office ProgramsKnowledge of principles and procedures for recruitment, employee relations, training, compensation and benefitsProficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS which includes talent management systemAbility to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with peersAbility to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentialityStrong oral, written communication and listening skillsWorking legal knowledge of employment laws (ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, workers compensation, ADA and other laws and regulations regarding the workplace)Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPointAbility to act with tact and diplomacy in sensitive situationsExcellent interpersonal and coaching skillsExcellent time management and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and collaborativelyAbility to maintain a high level of confidentialityStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsMaintain regular and reliable attendance, including being present, on time, and prepared for work as scheduledSHRM-CP or PHR certification desiredCompany OverviewCareMetx, LLC is a leading technology-enabled patient services partner, providing high-touch support to accelerate patient initiation and adherence for specialty therapies.
