[Remote] Senior GL Accountant

They are seeking a detail-oriented Senior General Ledger Accountant to join their growing Accounting team, responsible for a range of general ledger accounting activities and partnering cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial reporting.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules across a variety of general ledger accounts, including Cash, Prepaids, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable, Leases, Investments, Payroll, and other balance sheet and income statement accountsPartner cross-functionally with FP&A, Payroll, PeopleOps, Legal, and other business stakeholders to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial informationSupport the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes by analyzing financial results, investigating variances and discrepancies, and ensuring accurate financial reportingPerform flux and variance analyses across key accounts, leveraging data analytics and AI-enabled tools to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insightsIdentify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and internal control enhancements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability within the accounting functionSupport external audits, special projects, system implementations, and other accounting initiatives as neededSkills5+ years of experience in general ledger accounting or a similar role, ideally in a high-growth SaaS environmentYou have a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA a plusYou have a strong understanding of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controlsYou're highly proficient in Excel and comfortable working with large datasets; experience with AI-enabled tools is a plusYou have hands-on experience with ERP systems; NetSuite preferredStrong critical thinking skills with a track record of identifying discrepancies and implementing process improvementsExceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining proper audit-ready support for all entriesAbility to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight month-end deadlinesExcellent communication skills to partner with cross-functional teamsMust be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future employer sponsorshipOpen to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work - demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impactSaaS industry experience is a plus, particularly in high-growth environmentsBenefitsOffers EquityThis role is also eligible for medical benefits401(k) planOther company perk programsComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, with 100% of employee-only benefit premiums covered for most medical plans16 weeks paid Parental Leave for all new parentsHealth & wellness stipendRemote workspace, internet, and cellphone stipendCommuter benefits for team members who report to the SF and NYC officeFamily planning benefitsMatching 401(k) contribution with immediate vestingFlexible PTO policy, plus 80 hours of Sick Time11 company-paid holidaysVirtual team building activities, lunch and learns, and other company-wide events!Company OverviewVanta is a trust management platform that automates compliance and risk management.
