They are seeking a Senior EPIC Interfaces Application Analyst responsible for the design, build, testing, validation, and ongoing support of integrations across the enterprise. The analyst will collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to deliver scalable solutions that support clinical and business workflows.ResponsibilitiesProvides oversight and mentorship to other Epic Application Specialists, all while having frequent and regular encounters with organizational and physician leadership as assignedPerforms as lead or key point-person for Epic application module(s) and associated functional area(s) as assignedWorks collaboratively with the Application Director on resource scheduling and issue managementMaintains expertise and seeks additional knowledge in the support and optimization of assigned Epic module(s), and how they integrate with other applicationsWorks cohesively with stakeholders to provide system support, including analysis, build, and testing of requested changes, and analysis of new functionality of applicationsReviews, builds, tests, and implements new functionality via System Upgrades and Special UpdatesWorks and manages multiple tasks independentlyDemonstrates timely, effective, and efficient troubleshooting of very complex production software and workflow issues (which may cross applications/teams) and defines mitigation plans for resolutionActs as primary contributor in the development and documentation of internal procedures to use in conjunction with Epic application support, maintenance, and optimizationHelps develop and build timelines and project plansDevelops and maintains system documentation to enable ongoing support and maintenance of the Epic systemAssists Application Director in developing build timelines and project plans as communicated by leadershipPerforms and oversees unit testing of application configurations and builds in appropriate non-production environments, to identify defects and create resolution plans accordinglyAssists with the creation of test scripts and ensures test scripts for integrated and end-user testing are relevant and accuratePerforms testing in a structured manner, follows any defined test scripts, and documents resultsPerforms unit testing of application configurations and builds in appropriate non-production environments, identifies issues and potential solutionsFollows established guidelines for system change controlCreates and maintains documentation for change management, including cost estimation, project documentation, communication, and training plansCollaborates across teams to ensure process design, interface development, testing, and end-user training are performed to quality standardsIndependently performs basic project management activities for the development and implementation of system changes and medium to large projectsDevelops application-specific reportsProvides technical specification and assistance to report developers as neededPerforms other duties as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)3–7+ years of experience in healthcare IT integration (level dependent)Hands-on experience with Epic Bridges and HL7 messaging via Integration Engines (Cloverleaf, Rhapsody, Mirth, etc.)Strong problem-solving and communication skills7 years of experience in a health care related field requiredBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business or a related field required May substitute required education with equivalent years of experience beyond the minimum experience requirementExerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objectsThis position is a security-sensitive position pursuant to Texas Education Code §51.215 and Texas Government Code §411.094.
