[Remote] Senior DevOps Platform Engineer (Remote Opportunity)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. VetsEZ is seeking a Senior DevSecOps / Platform Engineer to support a large federal healthcare technology program. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain secure platform services, CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and automation capabilities that enable scalable software delivery and reliable operations.ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and support CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and deployment workflows across development, test, and production environmentsEngineer secure and scalable cloud platform capabilities using infrastructure-as-code, container platforms, and automation toolingSupport platform reliability, observability, access controls, secrets management, and operational readinessPartner with software engineers to improve developer experience, deployment efficiency, and release repeatabilityImplement and maintain DevSecOps controls across build, deploy, scanning, monitoring, and incident response workflowsManage platform components such as containers, orchestration platforms, artifact repositories, and shared runtime servicesTroubleshoot environment, pipeline, and deployment issues and support root cause analysis and service restorationContribute to platform standards, runbooks, technical documentation, and continuous improvement initiativesSupport change management, patching, upgrades, and operational governance for shared servicesCollaborate with architects and leadership to align platform evolution with future-state delivery needsSkillsA minimum of 7 years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, systems engineering, or cloud infrastructure rolesStrong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar platformsExperience with AWS, containerization, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code practicesKnowledge of security controls, secrets handling, vulnerability scanning, and compliance-oriented platform engineeringExperience supporting shared environments, release automation, and operational support for enterprise applicationsFamiliarity with Linux systems, scripting, monitoring tools, and troubleshooting production issuesStrong collaboration skills across engineering, QA, security, and program leadershipAbility to document technical processes and operational procedures clearlyBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experienceAbility to obtain a Government clearanceExperience supporting federal contracting environments or Department of Veterans Affairs initiativesFamiliarity with InterSystems IRIS or healthcare integration platformsAWS, Kubernetes, security, or DevOps certificationsExperience supporting regulated environments with auditability and security requirementsFamiliarity with Jira, Confluence, and Git-based delivery ecosystemsBenefitsMedical/Dental/Vision.401k with Employer Match.PTO + Federal Holidays.Corporate Laptop.Training Opportunities.Remote Opportunity.Company OverviewVetsEZ provides IT services & solutions such as data solutions, software solutions, PMO, and competitive edge solutions.
