The Senior Data Intelligence Analyst will work on enterprise data intelligence projects, analyzing complex data requests, producing reports, and providing insights to improve patient care and operational efficiency.ResponsibilitiesWorks with end-user requests to detail moderately to sophisticated business requirements, data definitions, business rules, and data quality requirements support of enterprise data intelligence projectsCreates specifications for reports and analysis based on business/clinical needs and data elements required or availableProduces data sets, reports, ad-hoc requests, dashboards, etcConducts data analysis in support of a variety of analytic solutionsWrites moderately sophisticated structured Query Language (SQL) codes and queriesAnalyzes complex problems and issues using data from internal and external sourcesDemonstrates a strong understanding of report analysis and developmentTriages intake of data requests and seeks an understanding of business needsApplies knowledge of healthcare and critical thinking skills in the analysis of business request and makes recommendations for solution/s to solve challengesProvides sophisticated report and data analysis with the help of team members, vendors, and/or other EIS department contacts; provides quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting of patterns, insights, and trends to decision-makersParticipates in re-engineering, as needed, operational work-flow processes with end-users/business ownersSolid understanding of build concepts, Epic migration paths, change control process/governance, and ticket management processLeads and evaluates process and requirements analysis, including process mapping though current flow charts, documents, future needs/plans, requirement elicitation, stakeholder analysis, and specification gathering on complex projectsServes as the primary point of contact for vendor support and assistance for larger and more complex projects as well as in resolving increasingly complex or critical issues in assigned areasHandles relationship with external vendorsIndependently provides guidance and leadership on quality assurance and testing initiativesDemonstrates ability to lead team through complex integrated testing processesManages testing projects as necessaryContributes to strategy discussions by proactively identifying options with associated pros and cons with EIS team members and othersSkillsFive (5) plus years' experience with SQL and demonstrated ability with a range of query tools such as Python, R, Oracle, SAS, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, Microsoft SQL, Tableau, etcDeveloping Epic Inpatient Clarity reportsHands on experience performing reporting analysis and developing custom reportsFamiliarity with databases used in patient care, administrative applications for hospitals, and data warehousing technologyExperience analyzing basic to moderately sophisticated Clarity report requests, Reporting Workbench and Radar build requestsDemonstrated understanding of healthcare applications as well as the needs and priorities of patient care providersTechnical proficiency in Reporting Workbench and Radar build. Able to teach sophisticated Reporting Workbench and Radar build conceptsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related quantitative fieldEpic Clarity Certification preferred.
