Remote Senior Compliance Coordinator (East Coast)
The Senior Compliance Coordinator is responsible for executing day-to-day compliance activities for assigned markets. This role ensures properties meet regulatory requirements and that documentation, licensing, and renewals are completed accurately and on time. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role critical to maintaining regulatory standing.
Key Responsibilities
ā¢ Apply for city and county licenses and permits
ā¢ Track renewals, deadlines, and compliance requirements
ā¢ Maintain accurate compliance documentation and systems
ā¢ Research and document local regulations and ordinances
ā¢ Coordinate with Sales, Operations and Market teams to resolve compliance gaps
ā¢ Support audits, inspections, and regulatory inquiries
ā¢ Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing program performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing process optimizations
ā¢ Remain current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to the role
ā¢ Contribute to a collaborative work environment that promotes open communication, innovation, and employee engagement
ā¢ Flag compliance risks and escalate issues appropriately
ā¢ Assist with onboarding new properties and markets
ā¢ Support larger compliance initiatives during peak periods
ā¢ Other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
ā¢ Experience working in hospitality, vacation rental or similar industry
ā¢ Basic understanding of permitting and regulations
ā¢ Experience in filling out numerous applications a day
ā¢ Ability to adapt quickly to change and deliver results in highly ambiguous environments
ā¢ Excellent organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills
ā¢ 3ā5+ years of compliance, regulatory, or administrative experience
ā¢ Strong attention to detail and follow-through
ā¢ Ability to manage high-volume, deadline-driven work
ā¢ Comfortable working across systems and documentation
ā¢ Attention to detail
ā¢ Tech-savvy with experience using various digital systems and applications; comfortable using mobile apps, tablets, and various software systems.
ā¢ Comfortable talking to people and being able to share complex information in a way that is clear, thoughtful, and easy to understand
