They are seeking a Senior Communications Project Management Specialist to serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholder communications and project management activities, particularly in cybersecurity. The role involves facilitating Scrum meetings, maintaining project schedules, and developing clear communications for various audiences.ResponsibilitiesServe as primary point of contact for stakeholder communications, coordination, and status updatesSupport ITSO cybersecurity communications, stakeholder coordination, and project management activitiesConduct Scrum meetings, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectivesOversee and maintain Kanban/Scrum board activities, including task tracking, backlog updates, workflow management, and action item follow-upDevelop clear communications for technical and non-technical audiencesDraft, edit, and coordinate cybersecurity bulletins, presentations, newsletters, announcements, meeting materials, and executive-ready contentTranslate cybersecurity, risk, policy, compliance, and technical information into concise customer-facing communicationsCoordinate with ITSO leadership, cybersecurity SMEs, project teams, and AO stakeholdersSupport planning, tracking, and reporting for cybersecurity initiatives, awareness campaigns, governance activities, and recurring customer deliverablesMaintain schedules, action items, risks, issues, decisions, meeting notes, and status updatesPrepare briefing materials, status reports, dashboards, communications plans, and customer review packagesCoordinate peer reviews, quality assurance reviews, and final deliverable checks prior to customer submissionSupport documentation management, quality control, process improvement, and knowledge transferFacilitate meetings, capture outcomes, track follow-up actions, and support timely completion of deliverablesOperate in a fast-paced federal consulting environment with multiple stakeholders and competing prioritiesSkills7+ years of experience in communications, project management, program support, technical writing, or federal consulting support5+ years supporting cybersecurity, IT, risk management, governance, compliance, or security awareness activitiesExperience serving as a primary point of contact for customer, stakeholder, or team communicationsExperience facilitating Scrum meetings, project meetings, working sessions, or recurring status meetingsExperience managing Kanban, Scrum, or Agile task boards to track work, priorities, status, and deliverablesExperience developing communications for technical and non-technical stakeholdersExperience coordinating with cybersecurity SMEs, program managers, customer leadership, and cross-functional teamsExperience supporting project schedules, status reporting, meeting facilitation, action item tracking, risks, issues, and deliverablesExperience supporting peer reviews, quality assurance, document reviews, or deliverable quality controlStrong writing, editing, briefing, and quality-control skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and TeamsAbility to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholder expectations independentlyPMPCompTIA Security+ or comparable foundational cybersecurity certificationBachelor's degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Business, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related fieldAdditional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degreePrior AOUSC, federal judiciary, federal civilian, or government consulting experienceFamiliarity with cybersecurity governance, risk management, security policy, security awareness, vulnerability management, incident response communications, or compliance programsFamiliarity with NIST, FISMA, RMF, cybersecurity controls, security assessments, or federal security documentationExperience supporting executive-level briefings, customer-facing status reports, communications plans, or change management activitiesExperience with SharePoint, Power BI, Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, BMC Helix, or similar collaboration/reporting toolsCertified ScrumMaster, Professional Scrum Master, or SAFe Scrum MasterISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity, SSCP, GIAC GISF, or ISACA Cybersecurity FundamentalsITIL FoundationBenefitsBonus and profit-sharing opportunities, depending on company and employee performance3 weeks of Personal Leave your first year11 paid Holidays each year5 days of Flexible Time Off each year401(k) company match at 50% up to 10% of your salaryMedical, Dental and Vision InsuranceLife and Disability InsurancePublic Transportation SubsidiesCertifications and Training Allowance - Up to $5,000/year!Company OverviewSince 1994, Gunnison has partnered with the Federal Government to tackle its most ambitious technology challenges.
