They are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to support the design, implementation, and administration of secure cloud solutions across AWS and Azure environments.ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, administer, and support cloud infrastructure solutions across AWS and Azure environmentsSupport cloud-based operations, including systems analysis, infrastructure optimization, operational readiness, and system vulnerability analysisManage and maintain cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, identity, monitoring, and backup/recovery capabilitiesSupport and maintain containerized workloads and orchestration platforms, including hands-on Kubernetes administration and troubleshootingBuild, configure, and maintain cloud-native infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templatesDevelop and maintain automation scripts and operational tooling to improve infrastructure efficiency, scalability, and reliabilitySupport backup, disaster recovery, continuity of operations (COOP), and resiliency planning efforts to ensure continuity of government operationsDevelop and maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures, architecture diagrams, and cybersecurity-related documentationPartner with Security, Governance, and Architecture teams to ensure compliance with agency requirements, cybersecurity standards, and operational best practicesMonitor cloud environments for performance, cost optimization, security risks, and operational healthSupport troubleshooting and root cause analysis for cloud infrastructure incidents and performance issuesCollaborate with cross-functional technical teams to support cloud modernization and migration effortsSkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent professional experienceMinimum of 5+ years of hands-on cloud engineering or cloud infrastructure experience preferredStrong hands-on experience with both AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud platformsStrong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including deployment, administration, troubleshooting, and operational supportExperience supporting AWS services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, EKS, backup/recovery, and networking componentsExperience supporting Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Azure Active Directory, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Monitor, storage, and identity managementExperience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templatesExperience supporting cloud monitoring, logging, automation, and operational support functionsStrong understanding of cloud security, cybersecurity documentation, vulnerability management, and compliance best practicesExperience supporting continuity of operations (COOP), backup systems, and disaster recovery planningStrong troubleshooting and communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentAWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional OR AWS SysOps Administrator – AssociateExperience supporting federal government contractsFamiliarity with federal security standards such as FISMA, NIST 800-53, and FedRAMPAzure cloud certifications preferredExperience with CI/CD, automation, or DevSecOps practicesExperience supporting hybrid cloud environments and cloud modernization initiativesCompany OverviewZolon Tech, Inc.
