[Remote] Senior Clinical Oncology Solutions Architect

The Senior Clinical Oncology Solutions Architect is responsible for designing, building, integrating, and supporting clinical application solutions used by oncology practices across the Navista Network, focusing on secure and scalable healthcare systems.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and support integrations across oncology clinical and business systems, including EHR/EMR, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), PACS, Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), and pharmacy platformsImplement interoperable solutions using FHIR, HL7, REST APIs, and industry‑standard integration patternsCollaborate with solution architects and product teams to translate clinical workflows into practical, scalable technical designsLead hands‑on development and configuration of interfaces, services, and integration workflows across clinical systemsReview code, integration logic, and technical designs to ensure reliability, performance, security, and maintainabilityTroubleshoot complex application and integration issues across development, testing, and production environmentsContribute to the development and adoption of architectural standards, clinical data models, and integration best practicesPartner with vendors and internal teams during implementations, upgrades, and post‑go‑live optimizationEnsure solutions align with HIPAA, HITRUST, and patient privacy requirementsProvide peer mentorship and technical guidance to engineering team membersClearly communicate technical concepts, risks, and tradeoffs to clinical, operational, and leadership stakeholdersSkills8-12 years of experience in software engineering, systems integration, or healthcare technology environmentsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Health Informatics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)3+ years of direct experience working with clinical applications or healthcare platformsDemonstrated hands-on experience with EHR systems, healthcare integrations, and interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7)Strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare data exchangePractical experience operating in regulated environments with HIPAA / HITRUST complianceExperience designing, deploying, or supporting integration engines, workflow orchestration tools, or care coordination platformsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively across engineering, clinical, and business teamsExperience supporting oncology practices, cancer centers, or oncology-focused healthcare platformsExposure to AI-enabled healthcare solutions or clinical decision support toolsBenefitsBonus eligible: YesMedical, dental and vision coveragePaid time off planHealth savings account (HSA)401k savings planAccess to wages before pay day with myFlexPayFlexible spending accounts (FSAs)Short- and long-term disability coverageWork-Life resourcesPaid parental leaveHealthy lifestyle programsCompany OverviewCardinal Health is a manufacturer and distributor of medical and laboratory products.
