Financial Consultant/Bookkeeper: Budget & Financial System Setup (Xero)
I am seeking a skilled financial consultant to help create a comprehensive budget for my business, conduct an audit of my current finances, and set up a system I can maintain independently. The project involves analyzing inconsistent income and expenses across various aspects of the business. Your expertise will help me understand my financial standing and develop strategies for improved financial management.
My Business Situation:
Multiple revenue streams: programming classes (where I pay teachers and expenses but don't take income), school partnerships (where I pocket the income), and consulting/partnerships (also personal income)
Currently using Xero but finances are commingled - sometimes using personal income to pay business expenses and vice versa
Highly inconsistent cash flow - some clients pay upfront, others pay months later; some months are profitable, others are lean
Need to understand if each business line is actually profitable
Need to determine how much I can afford to pay myself and what to set aside for taxes
What I Need You To Do:
Audit my current Xero setup and financial situation
Properly separate and track each business division
Create profit & loss reports for each business line
Set up a cash flow management system (not just a budget - I need to handle irregular income)
Create budgets for each business division and my personal finances
Calculate recommended owner's draw/salary and quarterly tax estimates
Provide clear insights on: Can I afford to hire people? What can I realistically spend on marketing, bookkeeping, contractors?
Most importantly: Teach me your system step-by-step so I can use it independently going forward
