[Remote] Senior Captive Account Manager

The Senior Captive Account Manager will be responsible for financial reporting, regulatory filings, and managing premium tax accounting, while delivering high-quality service to clients.ResponsibilitiesTimely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for captive insurance companiesCompletion of all regulatory filings required by state/captive domicilesManagement of premium tax accounting, including calculations, filings, and compliancePreparation of materials for and participation in Board of Directors meetingsCoordination with actuaries, auditors, brokers, TPAs, and carriersMonitoring of capital and surplus, cash flow, investments, collateral, and other financial metricsReview of accounting treatments, claims bordereaux, and underwriting performanceSupport for feasibility studies and new captive formationsMaintenance of statutory records and governance documentationDelivery of consistent, high‑quality service across a portfolio of clients with competing prioritiesSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, or related field5-7+ years of experience in captive insurance, accounting, or financial managementDemonstrated experience with premium tax accountingStrong understanding of captive insurance structures, reinsurance, underwriting, and actuarial coordinationHigh proficiency in Excel and other financial systemsExcellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlinesProfessional communication skills and a strong client service orientationAbility to work independently, stay organized, and adapt in a deadline-driven environmentCPA designation preferred (CA, ACI, CPCU, or ARM also accepted)Company OverviewHylant is a full-service insurance brokerage.
