They are seeking a Senior Business Development Representative who will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building relationships within the aviation sector, and supporting the growth of the commercial organization.ResponsibilitiesIdentify and develop new airline, cargo, leasing, and MRO opportunitiesConduct outreach through phone, email, LinkedIn, referrals, and industry networkingDevelop and maintain relationships with key decision makers across the aviation industryGenerate qualified opportunities and schedule meetings for the commercial teamResearch target accounts, fleets, maintenance strategies, and market trendsAttend customer meetings, facility visits, and industry conferencesRepresent Avocet at major aviation events including MRO Americas, ISTAT, Cargo Facts, and other industry conferencesDevelop relationships with maintenance, engineering, fleet planning, and technical operations leadersSupport account growth initiatives within existing customersMaintain accurate CRM records and opportunity trackingManage prospecting activity and follow-up cadenceSupport proposal development and customer qualification effortsAssist in developing strategic account plans and market expansion initiativesProvide market intelligence and competitive insightsDevelop a strong understanding of Avocet's capabilities, facilities, and target marketsBuild a prioritized target account listEstablish a consistent prospecting cadenceBegin generating qualified meetings and opportunitiesContribute meaningful pipeline growth through self-generated opportunitiesEstablish relationships across key airline, cargo, and leasing accountsBecome a recognized representative of Avocet within the industryConsistently create opportunities that advance into active sales pursuitsDemonstrate measurable contribution to revenue growth through originated opportunitiesBecome a trusted industry contact within assigned accounts and marketsExpand Avocet's reach into new customer segments and strategic relationshipsHelp build a repeatable business development engine that supports long-term growthSkills5+ years of aviation industry experience preferredPrevious experience in business development, sales, account management, technical services, maintenance planning, leasing, or related aviation rolesExisting aviation industry relationships strongly preferredExperience working with airlines, lessors, MROs, OEMs, or aviation service providersGeneral understanding of commercial aviation operationsFamiliarity with aircraft maintenance, MRO services, leasing, or aviation aftermarket activitiesUnderstanding of airline organizational structures and decision-making processesAbility to engage technical and commercial stakeholders with confidenceStrong relationship-building and networking abilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSelf-motivated and comfortable working remotelyOrganized, disciplined, and capable of managing multiple opportunities simultaneouslyProficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applicationsNaturally curious and proactiveComfortable initiating conversations with new prospectsProfessional, accountable, and results-orientedStrong work ethic with a willingness to travel and represent the companyTeam player who thrives in a growing organizationComfortable operating in an environment where processes are still being built and refinedBenefitsCompetitive base salaryPerformance-based commission structureHealth, dental, and vision benefits401(k) programOpportunity to grow within a rapidly expanding aviation organizationDirect exposure to executive leadership and strategic growth initiativesCompany OverviewAvocet Aviation Services is an FAA/EASA certified aircraft overhaul facility covering most Boeing, Airbus, and Regional product types.
