[Remote] Senior Application Administrator

The Amatriot Group is seeking a seasoned Senior Application Software Administrator to contribute to the design, deployment, and support of middleware technologies. This role involves ensuring performance, operations & maintenance, scalability, and security across the application ecosystem.ResponsibilitiesAdminister, configure, and maintain middleware platforms across development, test, and production windows environmentsSupport patching, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation for middleware componentsLead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for middleware-related issuesMonitor system performance and implement tuning strategies for optimal throughput and reliability. Interacts with vendors to resolve issues and improve performanceContribute to documenting architecture, configurations, and operational proceduresContribute to new project planning, research, development and deploymentParticipate in disaster recovery planning and executionProvide expertise in environmental refresh projectsManage SSL certificates, security configurations, and compliance standardsSkillsClearance: U.S. Citizen; 6c Public TrustExperience with JBoss and Apache serversStrong background in managing application infrastructure in MS Windows environmentSolid understanding of application infrastructure and architecture conceptsEffective communication skills, both written and verbal5-7 years of relevant professional experience requiredBachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degreeMust be able to obtain a 6C Public Trust government clearanceMust be a U.S. citizenMust currently reside in the U.SMust be able to pass a criminal background checkMust not be delinquent or in default on any federal student loansEmployment and continued employment are contingent upon obtaining and maintaining a favorable clearanceFinal suitability determination is the sole discretion of the Department of EducationObtaining and Maintaining a PIV-I card is a requirement of this positionExperience with Apache Tomcat & JBoss patching, maintenance, deploymentExperience in deployment and integration of COTS products and ETL solutionsExperience developing and maintaining Single Sign On (SSO) and Two Factor Authentication (TFA) solutionsKnowledge of web and object-oriented programming languages: JavaScript, JAVA, HTML, XML, PERL, web services, IIS, ASP.NETKnowledge and experience with scripting languages and associated software to leverage, improve, and automate processes (PowerShell, Perl, etc.)Experience with virtualization technologies a plus (VMware or Hyper-V)BenefitsAny travel expenses will be paid for by Maximus.Company OverviewThe Amatriot Group (formerly Government Tactical Solutions) is a talent solutions firm built on almost 15 years of experience delivering mission-critical support to the intelligence, defense, and national security sectors of the federal government.
