They are seeking an experienced AI Software Engineer to join their AI Labs, focusing on developing innovative AI model-based applications for various retail use cases.ResponsibilitiesWrite production-level code in TypeScript (with AI tools)Build full-stack prototypes, including front-end interfaces that demonstrate capability to stakeholders and clientsPrompt engineering and testing with LLMs, including Claude, Gemini, and OpenAI modelsContext engineering to determine the right data to surface to LLMs and agentsAgentic workflow designHelp us build systems to easily monitor and test LLM performanceAnalyze large data setsDesign and implement solutions for scale and maintainability across multiple clientsContribute as a thought leader to conversations around LLM usage, including challenging or proposing technical directions and identifying what to worry about (and what not to) early in a projectSkillsBachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or other related fields, or equivalent experience7+ years of software development experience, including work within retail, e-commerce, or another applied AI/technology industry. Experience building AI or LLM-powered products is a bonusConfident communication (written and oral) skills and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all levels of internal and external organizations. Strong asynchronous written communication is essential, Labs works across time zones and with small, distributed teamsStrong problem-solving, attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills along with demonstrated strategic thinking abilitiesWorking experience with modern prototyping stacks, specifically React, TypeScript, and SQL, sufficient to stand up a working UI backed by a real data modelExperience with LLMs, testing, and prompt engineering, including work with Claude, Gemini, and OpenAI APIsDemonstrated affinity for and experience with agentic software engineering — either on the job or on your own time.
