[Remote] Senior Actuarial Consultant

They are seeking a dynamic and experienced actuarial professional to assist with the continued development of their actuarial team and enhance support for client healthcare initiatives and innovations.ResponsibilitiesManaging a diverse range of actuarial projectsServe as actuarial and strategic advisor to healthcare clients, owning overall client satisfaction and engagement successDirect technical actuarial work on projects and assist in the development of less experienced actuariesAssist in building the practice infrastructure by supporting internal initiatives that enhance the foundational ways of workingPartnering with leadership to build scalable and dynamic financial models and work processesAssist in building and maintaining strong client relationshipsDevelop and maintain effective cross-functional working relationships with other RSC teams to assure accurate, timely teamwork and project execution with assigned teamsSkillsBachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related fieldFSA/ASA (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries or Associate of the Society of Actuaries) designation required15+ years of healthcare actuarial experienceProject / client / financial management experienceUnderstanding of healthcare databases and data sources (claims, encounters, labs, EMR etc.)Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and AccessStrong knowledge of commercial, and/or medical stop loss marketsExperience working with alternative risk vehicles such as captives and MEWAsCommercial first dollar and stop loss reserving, pricing, underwriting and financial modeling expertiseRisk modeling and risk mitigation strategy experience for healthcare programsAssessment of care management and delivery effectiveness through predictive modeling, ROI analyses and other advanced modeling techniquesTraditional Health & Welfare actuarial and underwriting experienceExperience with SQL, R (R, RStudio).
