They are seeking a Senior Account Manager for the Northeast US to grow market share in their Custom’s Division by managing a defined territory of distribution and direct-to-consumer clients, focusing on both acquiring new customers and maintaining existing relationships.ResponsibilitiesDefine and execute strategic sales plans and actions to achieve annual sales and profit metrics for the assigned territory that align with the Custom’s Division of Liberty Plastics for new and existing accountsManage a network of distribution partners and direct-to-consumer customers with frequent meetings, follow-ups, strategic pricing and supply programs and frequent product updatesDrive market growth through distribution development plans and strategies for the Custom’s division of Liberty PlasticsPrepare and deliver bi-weekly performance reports and action plans to maintain and fill the opportunity pipeline and drive sales growthServe as a product knowledge resource for customers, independent sales representatives and the internal engineering and marketing teamsForecast and plan monthly and annual account goals, including, but not limited to, financial and operational performance goals, planned purchasing agreements and market sales potentialManage and maintain a budget of sales activities and initiatives such as tradeshows, travel expenses and cost of acquisition relevant to sales activities in the defined areaIdentify key new placement opportunities in distribution and other key market channelsDefine new business objectives that align with Liberty Plastics annual growth objectives that foster a 'Hunting' vs. 'Maintaining' sales approachManage territory pricing programs with existing and new distribution partners and direct-to-consumer productsIdentify market and sales opportunities that align with Liberty Plastics’ core product offering and servicesTeam with product development and engineering to create a 'pull-through' strategy for new opportunities leading to a timely closeProvide relevant market updates to management such as trends or anticipated changes that may change current or fiscal budgetingOther duties, as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience of 5+ years relevant experience in direct business or consumer salesA proven “hunter” mentality and a history of identifying new opportunities and driving them to a successful close or conclusionExcellent communication skills and the ability to interface effectively with senior management, sales, plant, and corporate team membersExceptional judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skillsExperience in sales pipeline management and project managementAbility to prioritize tasks based on strategy in an ever-changing environmentAbility to work independently and organize workload into items such as sales plans, budgets, and relevant accountability methodsMeticulous and organizedCreative thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to travel up to 60% of the time or more as needs require to visit key customers, prospects, and attend relevant trade shows and eventsRequires in-depth knowledge and experience; uses best practices and knowledge to improve products or servicesSolves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutionsFrequently requires logical and analytical reasoning skills, seasoned judgment, creativity, and ingenuityIndependent decisions typically have financial, operational, legal, or image impactReceives minimal guidance; works independently to achieve goals, providing expert recommendations to managementActs as a resource for colleagues with less experienceRelevant experience in the plastics industry or an adjacent marketContinuous improvement mindset and demonstrated skills in facilitating process and cultural changesComfortable navigating through ambiguity and managing multiple prioritiesAble to think strategically to drive growth and create big picture plansWorks well as a team player, who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical initiatives, and as an individual contributorResults-oriented to ensure deliverables are submitted in an accurate, complete, and timely fashionDesire for continuous learning and naturally inquisitiveAbility to work in the details and keep big picture perspectiveKnack for systems and ability to design linear processesBenefitsEligibility in annual bonus programHealth/dental/vision insurance optionsPaid time off10 paid holidays401(k) plus company matching and annual discretionary profit sharingFlexible spending and health savings account optionsLife and disability insuranceTuition assistanceWellness and mental health resourcesFinancial advising servicesEligibility in benefit programs is based on hours worked per weekCompany OverviewLiberty Diversified International is is a family of companies specializing in corrugated fiberboard, office furnishings.
