[Remote] Senior Account Manager

They are seeking a Senior Account Manager to manage a portfolio of US-based clients, ensuring client satisfaction and developing opportunities for growth.ResponsibilitiesAct as the chief liaison and key point of contact between the client and the broader Morressier team. Look to expand our biggest account offeringsManage the client contract ensuring all requirements and affiliated timelines are met and exceededFoster renewals and develop opportunities to extend and enhance client contracts (Cross sell/ upsell opportunities)Interact with some of our biggest publishing and society clients on an ongoing basis in a friendly, communicative, and professional mannerDevelop a high level of understanding of the product and services, enabling independent problem solving on minor issues, prioritizing and escalating as neededGather business requirements for new developments and enhancements, and proactively look for ways to enrich the client relationship and win new clientsWork closely with all departments, including with Product, Design, and Engineering to innovate and inform the roadmap based on client needs and feedback and with Sales for new bids and RFP responses for multiyear/enterprise clientsDefine, monitor, and analyze key metrics that measure client success and contribute to overall company goals; andOther activities as required to support this highly cross-functional global teamSkillsBachelor's degreeRelevant (6-7 years) experience in account management, customer success, or a consultative sales roleExperience in publishing, academia or the scholarly communications industryExcellent verbal and written communication, organization, and attention to detailNatural relationship cultivator, service orientationAbility to work independently while maintaining a high level of internal communication and collaboration with global colleaguesTechnical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new softwareAbility to travel locally, domestically, and potentially internationally (all post-pandemic when global travel advisories allow) to meet with clients and colleaguesExperience in a startup environmentExperience selling, managing, or building technical products or servicesBenefitsCompetitive salary plus stock optionsFlexibility for remote work from home or anywhere elseFlexible working hoursWorking at the heart of a high-performing dynamic team from around the worldA chance to do meaningful work and further our vision of enabling all the world’s learners to discover, share and advance new ideasCompany OverviewMorressier is your partner in early-stage and conference research, extending the value of your event long after it’s over.
