[Remote] Senior Account Executive

IDC is a global provider of trusted technology intelligence, seeking a Senior Account Executive to expand their footprint among C-suite technology executives. The role involves creating solution selling techniques, delivering presentations, and building relationships with clients in various industries to drive sales and innovation.ResponsibilitiesCreate/deploy solution selling techniques to rapidly grow and expand the designated end user territory within F1000 enterprisesCreate and deliver highly effective presentations on IDC's offerings to executive decision makers and identify prospect needs across a diverse set of organizationsIdentify prospective needs and create winning proposals for the sale of IDC's offeringsPossess or be able to gain quick knowledge about important IT and industry issues across Energy, Manufacturing, Retail, Healthcare and Financial ServicesAble to earn and/or secure business relationships with this important end client set, have an understanding of IT vendors serving those industry's needs, and be able to craft winning relationships with potential clientsCombination of individual work and team selling with analysts, consultants, and other IDC sales professionalsSkillsBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, MBA a plus10+ years of direct sales experience, along with strong written, analytical, verbal communication, time management and organizational skills - Majority of experience should be hunting within F1000 entities in the private sectorDemonstrate success working independently to sell complex goods and services to the office of the CIO/CTO and/or their business linesThe ability to build relationships at all levels within a company and the ability to set a sales strategy to develop new business as well as incremental sales with existing clientsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Salesforce.com and Sales Enablement ToolsLocated within the Mid-West RegionPrior market research industry, or technical, sales experience is a plusIdeal candidate will be entrepreneurial, motivated, assertive, collaborative, and a self-starterBenefits15 vacation days (prorated based on start date)12 company-paid holidays6 paid sick days (prorated based on start date; may vary by state)Medical, dental, and vision coverage2 floating holidays (prorated based on start date)1 volunteer day401(k) company match (IDC matches 3% on the first 6% of employee contributions)Company-paid short-term disabilityCompany-paid life insuranceCompany-paid parental leaveCompany OverviewIDC provides market intelligence solutions, advisory services, and events for the information technology and other related markets.
