The role involves managing segment intelligence, product portfolio strategy, and marketing communications to drive growth and customer engagement.ResponsibilitiesBuild and Own Infrastructure & Underground Construction Segment IntelligenceSupport Strategy Director on execution of segment growth strategy with prioritized initiatives:Document stakeholder profiles, specific customer targets, application requirements/challenges, and geographiesDocument purchasing journey & spec-influencing/decision pointsIdentify system/product application use cases, problems/unmet needs and pain pointsDocument competitive landscape with product & service differentiationIdentify & propose solutions to barriers to adoptionExecute primary and secondary research including stakeholder interviews, jobsite visits, trade events, online, etc. Synthesize research with institutional knowledge from business leaders and sales teams into clear, reusable insights and decision-ready recommendations for where to play and how to winLead Product Portfolio Strategy & Execution including Growth EnablersTranslate segment requirements and strategic direction into implications for:The development or integration of new products specific to the Infrastructure & Underground Construction segment)A segment-oriented product roadmapCustomer-centric, value-add service and support tools (material estimators, training, QA programs, etc.)Identify solutions with Product Management across multiple business units; this segment leverages offers from several Saint Gobain businesses including but not limited to Chryso, GCP, and FOSROCWork with adjacent functions including Product Management, R&D, and Purchasing to define and prioritize opportunities; support business cases and validation and drive New Product Development/Integration implementation as neededEnable Customer-Facing Positioning & Marketing CommunicationsEstablish value proposition with segment-specific positioning and messaging architectureSupport go-to-market and channel tacticsLead demand generation ideas and sales enablement requirementsPartner with Central Marketing to develop:Segment landing pages and collateralCase studies, application notes, white papers, webinars/lectures, and thought leadershipTrade show strategy, speaking opportunities, PR anglesSales enablement kitsSecure new product listing on Qualified Product Lists (QPL) in target Bridge marketsAlign on target QPLs with Strategy Director and Business LeaderDocument Standard Operating Procedure for QPL approvalExecute SOP for all new productsDrive Execution in Cross-Functional TeamsLead cross-functional 'segment squads' (informal teams) across Sales, PM, Tech/R&D, Tech Service, Ops and MarketingInfluence without authority: manage alignment, trade-offs, and follow-throughCreate a cadence of segment reviews with P&L leaders to track progress, remove barriers, and adjust plansSkillsBachelor's Degree, Liberal Arts or Other15+ Years of Marketing, Product Management or Strategy responsibility.
