[Remote] Sales Engineer / Solution Architect – Critical Power Infrastructure

The Solution Architect – Integrated Modular Solutions serves as the technical design authority for mission-critical modular infrastructure solutions, leading architectural design and system configuration while ensuring technical integrity throughout the project lifecycle.ResponsibilitiesLead architectural development and system configuration for Integrated Modular Solutions, including structural, mechanical, and electrical integrationOwn pre-sale technical solution design, including one-line diagrams, system layouts, equipment selection, and configuration strategyServe as the primary technical interface with customers during solution development and architectural discussionsEvaluate customer requirements and develop architectures aligned with Tier I–IV data center standards and mission-critical power requirementsEnsure compliance with applicable codes, UL standards, and industry regulationsDrive cross-functional alignment between Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Sales to ensure design feasibility and manufacturabilityProvide technical oversight through design reviews, submittal development, and manufacturing release activitiesLead technical portions of RFI/RFP responses and customer presentationsSupport development and refinement of standardized IMS configurations and scalable architectural frameworksParticipate in factory acceptance testing (FAT) oversight and field issue resolution when requiredProvide technical mentorship and knowledge sharing across Engineering and Sales teamsContribute to long-term architectural roadmap planning for IMS product platformsSupport configuration tool development and architectural standardization initiativesAssist in improving technical documentation, processes, and system design consistencyReviewing customer specifications and translating requirements into technical solution architecturesDeveloping one-line diagrams, layouts, and integrated system configurationsCollaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and scalableParticipating in customer meetings and technical design reviewsSupporting proposal development, submittals, and technical presentationsProviding technical guidance during manufacturing and deployment activitiesSkillsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field5+ years of experience in data center infrastructure, critical power systems, modular infrastructure, or application engineeringStrong understanding of low-voltage power distribution systems including switchboards, PDUs, RPPs, STSs, transformers, and associated controlsExperience developing one-line diagrams, power system architectures, and equipment configurationsExperience reviewing RFQ/RFI/RFP documentation and customer technical specificationsWorking knowledge of MEP integration within modular or prefabricated environmentsStrong technical leadership and customer-facing communication skillsExperience supporting Tier I–IV data center power system architecturesExperience with prefabricated or modular infrastructure solutionsExperience leading technical design reviews or customer solution discussionsFamiliarity with UL certification processes and compliance documentationExperience contributing to product standardization or configuration tool developmentExperience with 3D modeling or rendering tools such as SketchUp or RevitBenefitsEmployer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with company matchDiscretionary bonus or incentive compensationCompany OverviewHyper is redefining how mission-critical infrastructure gets built.
