CPS, Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Account Manager to drive sales growth of their functional ingredient solutions for food and beverage processors. The role focuses on building long-term customer relationships, identifying value creation opportunities, and delivering technical and commercial support throughout the sales cycle.ResponsibilitiesIdentify, develop, and manage new and existing customer accounts within assigned territoryPromote the company’s portfolio of functional ingredients (e.g., yield enhancers, shelf-life extenders, antioxidants, clean-label solutions, clean label cure / cure accelerators) to food processors and manufacturersDevelop and execute strategic account plans to meet or exceed sales and profitability targetsGenerate leads, quality opportunities, and manage the sales pipeline using CRM toolsCollaborate with R&D and technical service teams to deliver ingredient solutions tailored to customer formulations and processing conditionsProvide guidance on application methods, dosage rates, and regulatory compliance as neededParticipate in product trials, plant visits, and technical presentations to demonstrate product performance and ROIMonitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to inform product positioning and innovationContribute to marketing initiatives, trade shows, and industry events to enhance brand visibility and customer engagementProvide feedback to the team on emerging customer challenges and opportunitiesDevelop deep relationships at multiple organizational levels (R&D, procurement, operations, quality, and management)Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts in alignment with company policiesEnsure customer satisfaction through proactive communication, problem-solving, and after-sales supportSkillsBachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)Minimum 3-5 years of B2B sales experienceStrong understanding of food processing technologies and formulation principlesProven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targetsExcellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skillsAbility to translate technical concepts into commercial value propositionsWillingness to travel up to 50% to visit customers, plants, and support industry eventsBenefitsCommissionComprehensive benefits packagePerformance-based incentivesCompany OverviewCPS, inc., a national full-service professional staffing firm providing permanent placement in the areas of accounting, finance, and more.
