Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. JM Services and Consulting, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Copy Editor to join our team in Santa Fe Springs, CA. As a Copy Editor, you will be responsible for reviewing and editing various written materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Review and edit a variety of written materials, including articles, reports, press releases, marketing materials, and more
ā¢ Ensure all written materials adhere to company style and branding guidelines
ā¢ Check for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting errors
ā¢ Fact-check information and sources to ensure accuracy
ā¢ Collaborate with writers and other team members to improve the overall quality of written materials
ā¢ Meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
ā¢ Provide constructive feedback to writers to improve their writing skills
ā¢ Keep up-to-date with industry trends and changes in language usage
Skills
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
ā¢ Minimum of 2 years of experience as a copy editor or similar role
ā¢ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
ā¢ Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors
ā¢ Proficient in using editing and proofreading tools
ā¢ Familiarity with AP Style and other style guides
ā¢ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
ā¢ Strong time-management and organizational skills
ā¢ Knowledge of SEO and online content best practices is a plus
