[Remote] Remote Billing Specialist

The Billing Specialist will coordinate billing processes and ensure timely revenue collections, impacting the organization's cash flow. Responsibilities Help coordinate billing to the State of MN – Department of Human Services as well as insurance companies and individuals for services provided Work with Grants for various lines of service to make sure all expenses get reimbursed Impact the cash flow of the organization by the accuracy and timeliness of revenue collections Skills Two-year degree or equivalent accounting experience Proficiency working with Excel, Word, and accounting software Willingness and ability to learn new systems Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills Effective oral and written communication Ability to manage a variety of on-going tasks and projects and prioritize/organize work on a daily basis Ability to stay current with collections and to understand the language payers use Company Overview Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is one of the largest statewide nonprofit social service organizations in Minnesota with more than 2,500 team members serving in all 87 counties and beyond.
