[Remote] Regional Vice President, Business Development - Biospecimen

Precision Medicine Group is seeking a Regional Vice President (RVP) of Business Development to lead their efforts in identifying and closing business opportunities for Precision Biospecimen services. The RVP will manage a Business Development team and be responsible for achieving sales targets while developing client relationships and collaborating across various departments.ResponsibilitiesIdentifies opportunities for all Biospecimen services productsDevelops and enhances client relationshipsEstablishes a strong working relationship with Operations, Marketing, Technical Support, Customer Support and FinanceQualifies leadsWorks with Clients to understand their specimen needs and then works with our internal team of experts and the BD operations team to present inventory reports, conduct feasibility, create POs and budgets to present to customersCloses new business and expands existing business relationshipsAttend conferences, trade shows and meetings as requiredMaintain contacts and opportunities using SalesForce.comManage a smaller team of Business Development Directors in the RVP’s regionLiaison role between functional services within Precision (ie convergence with other service lines such as clinical and labs)Assist in hiring new BD membersGuide training of new BD membersInvolved in marketing/conference strategyInvolved in large account management (ie rate cards, discount structures)SkillsBachelor's Degree and 5 years of related sales experience; ORMaster's Degree and 2 years of related sales experienceTeam player willing to collaborate and share knowledgeAbility to work independently, manage time and create plans to achieve personal goalAbility to think creatively and strategically and act tactically in a dynamic environmentTrack record of successive increasing levels of responsibilityProven track record of successful client relationship management and business development in pharmaceutical, biotech or CRO organization with success in sales of biobanking, sample preparation services, and specialty lab servicesMust be self-directed and self-motivated to work at a highly technical levelWilling to travel up to 35%Must possess a valid driver's license allowing you to drive in the state(s) you drive inAble to travel both domestically and internationally including overnight staysMust be able to read, write, speak fluently and comprehend the English languageAcademic concentration in life sciences or related fieldMasters or Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology or Biochemistry10 years of related sales experienceBenefitsDiscretionary annual bonusHealth insuranceRetirement savings benefitsLife insurance and disability benefitsParental leavePaid time off for sick leave and vacationCompany OverviewWe founded Precision Medicine Group in 2012 because we believed there was a transformational opportunity to improve the process of bringing new drugs to market.
