In the Regional Technical Sales Account Manager role, you will drive the North America sales strategy for Momentive’s Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants Business by building strategic customer relationships and optimizing distribution networks.ResponsibilitiesDevelop appropriate sales strategies and tactics to win in the targeted markets. Drive growth at or above AOP target levels and accountability for all the assigned accountsEnsure execution of the strategies and remove roadblocks that may prevent adoptionWork closely in conjunction with Segment Leader, Marketing, CAS technology team at Pearl River for Coating formulationsTechnical Sales - help customers understand how our product line works and how they can get the best resultsHelp arrange and understand what field testing is needed for new and existing productsEffectively collect market intelligence and feed it back into the marketing teamDevelop and roll out key metrics, dashboards, and relevant data that will need to be collected in order to make full use of the CRM-platform, ensure visit reports, contacts and other key data are recordedTravel, arrange meetings, handle and grow business at assigned distribution and direct customers for Process IndustriesPro-actively solve business problems that prevent us from achieving our sales targetsEnsure the Sales team is in compliance with laws and regulations applicable to the region/country as well as with the Momentive internal policyFully responsible for his cost management such as Travelling, Entertainment and other expenses associated with sales activities within the Delegation of Authorities (DoA) granted and annual budget allocatedTo be successful, this role will need to work closely with other members of the team including the Regional and Global Segment Leaders, the Global Product Manager, and the Global Technology Leader to ensure that all plans and strategies are alignedThis position will report directly to the NAM Regional Segment Leader – CASSkillsBachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related area5+ years of professional experience in coatings formulations or additives industry2+ years Technical sales or techno-commercial experience in coatings, adhesives, sealants, or related marketsAbility to travel up to 50% within North AmericaWorking knowledge of CAS market trends, customers, and technologiesStrong cross-functional manager who can foster teamwork and drive change throughout the organizationProven ability to develop and execute strategies generating positive resultsSelf-directed and independent working styleMust be able to identify and bring to a resolution difficult problemsEnergetic, self-motivated and strong team playerProficiency in MS Office applications, SAP, CRM-tools (Salesforce.com)MBABenefitsAdditionally, this role is eligible for incentive or sales variable compensation payments.
