[Remote] Regional Sales Manager

They are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead sales activities and develop strategies to grow ecobee’s market share in the Mountain Region. The role involves achieving sales targets, conducting training, and expanding product sales through existing and new distributor partners.ResponsibilitiesAchieve sales targets for new business sales to contractors and distributorsRegularly conduct technical training and business planning with strategic partners on a regular basisExpand distribution and product sales through existing distributors and recruitment of new distributor partners; build and maintain strong relationships, increase visibility and sell product line to the Professional ChannelGrow ecobee's awareness and product engagement by building, managing, training, and motivating an independent rep sales force to support distributor and contractor partnersRecognize market trends and be fully knowledgeable about competitor activities, which can then be regularly communicated to the management teamPrepare and report upon sales and territory activities in SalesForce; maintain up-to-date records of accounts, key contact information, call activities, opportunities, and resultsPrepare detailed forecasts of short and long-term sales objectivesSkillsProven experience in Sales role, within a technical industrySolid understanding of the two-step distribution processYou've undergone formal sales training program and can easily show how you've used it in the fieldAbility to travel within the Southwest Region as well as quarterly/bi-annual travel to sales team meetings at ecobee's HQ in TorontoProficient at working independently and have a home officeValid driver's license and vehicle is requiredBenefitsThis role is eligible for variable compensation including short term and long-term incentives.Company OverviewEcobee is a provider of Wi-Fi enabled smart thermostats for residential and commercial applications.
