They are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to identify new opportunities, develop strategic action plans, and manage customer relationships while achieving sales quotas.ResponsibilitiesIdentify, qualify, and convert new opportunities within assigned territoryDevelop and execute strategic action plans to achieve monthly and yearly sales quotasGenerate and manage leads through proactive prospecting, networking, digital channels, and CRM toolsMaintain a healthy and accurate sales pipeline and forecast using Salesforce/SAPManage the full sales cycle—from initial contact through proposal, negotiation, and closingMeet or exceed sales targets and KPIs for assigned regionConduct detailed needs assessments including SKU profiling, picking strategies, space utilization, labor constraints, and order volumeAnalyze customer logistics and warehouse processes to identify improvement opportunitiesTranslate technical features into clear business benefits (ROI, productivity gains, space savings, labor reduction)Develop optimal customer solutions based on the company’s product and technology portfolioCollaborate with engineering, project management, and service teams to create commercially and technically sound proposalsBuild strong, long-term customer relationships based on trust and value creationDeliver professional presentations, product education, and solution demonstrationsEngage effectively with warehouse managers, operations teams, engineers, procurement, and executive leadershipAssist in project management, ensuring smooth handover to implementation teams and strong customer satisfactionMonitor industry trends in material handling, logistics, and warehouse automationTrack competitor products, pricing, and positioningProvide insights to marketing and product management to support strategic developmentSkillsMinimum of 3+ years of B2B sales experience in material handling, logistics, intralogistics, or warehouse automationProven experience in new business development, meeting sales quotas, and managing a full sales cycleProficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce or SAP) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and organizational skillsAbility to explain technical concepts clearly to non‑technical audiencesBasic technical/engineering aptitude, including the ability to interpret layouts and specificationsStrong motivation, work ethic, time‑management skills, and the ability to work independentlyKnowledge of relevant health and safety standardsValid U.S. driver's license and ability and willingness to travel up to 50% across the U.SExperience working with system integrators, logistics consultants, or automation vendors preferredBenefits401K/matchingA great PTO packageGenerous medical benefitsCompany OverviewThe SSI SCHAEFER Group is a leading global solution provider for all areas of intralogistics.
