[Remote] REGIONAL SALES DIRECTOR
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Daikin Comfort Technologies Distribution, Inc. is seeking a Regional Sales Director to support the South Regions, primarily in NC. The role focuses on growing the region through consultation and education of distributor principles and managing market conflicts while achieving sales goals.ResponsibilitiesConduct meetings with customers, new dealers, and sales team to promote company products and services including building relationships internally and externallyTravel and work trade shows, open houses, and other promotions as neededLiaison between Distributor and Daikin, communicating with departments to ensure concerns and problems are solved immediately and exceeding customer expectations. Conduct distributor visits as requiredAssist in planning and forecastingWork with Distributor principals in establishing criteria and potential locations for expansionSelect, train, supervise and evaluate District Sales Managers and Inside Sales EngineersWork with DSMs on training assessment and scheduling required coursesAssign and manage accounts among DistrictsResponsible for actively working with District Sales Managers on sales plans, target accounts, key projects and distributor planning including joint callsEnsure that DSMs keep up-to-date on all activity within the regionDevelop, implement, track, and report on regional sales growth plan based on programs, target account opportunities, project tracking and distribution planningManage pricing including understanding the pricing dynamics in the assigned market. Collect competitive price sheets on a continual basis to ensure we are well priced in the marketplaceTrack distributor calls and issues in CRMPerform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needsSkillsProficient sales skills with broad knowledge of sales forecasting and sales call planningExcellent written and verbal communication skillsOutstanding consultative selling and interpersonal skillsProduct knowledge and HVAC industry knowledge a strong assetComputer proficiency, particularly in MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint & database applications, CRM, etcEffective organizational and time management skills including ability to prioritizeService oriented customer service skillsAbility to travelWorking knowledge of B2B and B2C marketing with a thorough understanding of what messaging, tools, resources and planning should be used for each as well as when to customizeThorough understanding with current knowledge of trends in sales force management with the ability to train and coach sales teamAbility to influence and provide sound judgment, coaching and leadership to teamMinimum of 5 years of strong P&L experience as well as strong financial planning and analysis skillsPossess a good understanding of ordering, transportation and logisticsAbility to apply good judgement, strong work ethics and integrity on the job8 plus years of sales experience preferably within the HVAC industryBachelor's degree strongly preferred or equivalent work experienceBenefitsBenefits are effective on day one for all full-time direct hiresTraining programs are available to help guide team members and develop new skillsGrowth Opportunities - there is immense opportunities to grow your careerYou will be part of a Global Company - our family brands are backed by Daikin Industries, Ltd.Company OverviewDaikin Comfort is an air conditioning manufacturing and service providing company.
