[Remote] RCM Customer Service Representative

MedMan is the oldest medical group management company in America, seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented RCM Customer Service Representative. In this role, you’ll serve as the primary point of contact for patients and payers regarding billing inquiries, supporting the revenue cycle process through exceptional service and effective communication. Responsibilities Returns patient and payer calls promptly, ensuring timely follow-up on all inquiries. Maintains a calm, friendly, and professional tone, even when addressing difficult or complex billing concerns Quickly grasps billing concepts and workflows, even without prior billing experience. Demonstrates initiative in learning systems, terminology, and processes relevant to the revenue cycle Clearly and confidently communicates with patients about their bills. Remains calm and composed during challenging conversations, explaining information in a way patients can easily understand Confidently discusses patient balances and collects payments with professionalism and empathy. Comfortable initiating payment conversations and knowledgeable about available options such as payment plans or financial assistance Skills High school diploma or equivalent Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality Comfort with Microsoft tools, including Outlook, Teams, and basic data entry Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing Comfortable engaging with patients, team members, and external partners Uses critical thinking to identify issues and develop effective solutions Remains calm under pressure and handles billing-related challenges with confidence Works well in a collaborative environment Supports colleagues and contributes to a positive team dynamic Demonstrates reliability, time management, and accountability in day-to-day responsibilities Takes initiative and manages workload with minimal supervision Familiarity with computers, email, and basic software is helpful Willingness to learn billing systems, EHR platforms, and internal tools as needed Company Overview MedMan delivers management, assessments, planning, revenue cycle support and compliance services to the health sector.
